Starting with Citrix Receiver for Android 3.0 on December 19 and concluding in the New Year with Receiver for iOS 5.5 in mid-January, Citrix will be releasing updates to Receiver to broaden and enrich the end user experience on a variety of endpoints. Updates will include Receiver mobile clients for Android and iOS as well as Receiver for Windows (3.1). All new versions of Citrix Receiver will natively support CloudGateway for enabling follow me subscriptions as well as seamless local access to SaaS applications

The updates to the mobile clients will include support for the recently released XenApp 6.5 Mobile Optimization SDK, integration of RSA soft token, broadened localization as well as a number of enhancements and improvements to HDX performance. The new Receiver clients will also be able to better leverage local computing capabilities of their native platforms including, but not limited to GPS, cameras, and accelerometers in order to deliver a superior Windows application experience.

Receiver for Windows 3.1 will bring the coherent workspace already present in the mobile clients to the desktop as well as provide simple one-click configuration, VPN-less remote access, and enhance self service capabilities powered by CloudGateway. Also coming within the same time period are the 1.0 versions of Receiver for Chromebook – powered by Citrix CloudGateway – as well as the Receiver for PlayBook client.
